Love this one too Gill, which perhaps you did this Tuesday when I wasn't able to be there? Love the combination of the beautiful red poppies and the tiny silhouetted shepherds purse and the larger teazels, all against the gold and black background. Am sure it'll sell soon!
I live near Carcassone, SW France with my husband, and 2 of my 3 wonderful children, 2 dogs, a cat and a handful of chickens. In 2001 we left my husbands family farm in Hertfordshire UK in search of adventure and bought a "project" on a Mediterranean hillside with panoramic views of l'vixiege valley and the magical Pyrennees. For the next 4 years we renovated the buildings converting them into holiday gites and a home for ourselves. Once completed, my family set to, and made me a studio so that I could return to my passion of painting - hooray!
I love working with mixed media, and am inspired to paint every day.

I particularly like the teazels with the poppies a very interesting contrast to the poppies the background gold is especially a clever use of colour.
